Children's Organization

My group finally decided upon which organization we wanted to focus on for part III last night.   We ended up choosing the 4-h club, because the organization is unique and specific in its goals and plans.  Their website, http://www.4-h.org/ , is very clear and well-laid out.   We also chose 4-h because in comparison to the other organizations we were looking at : adventure scouts, girl scouts, and boy scouts, 4-h had the most specifically tailored goals and plans: to help rural children learn and become interested in school and technology, with tutoring programs as well as exploration programs to help them become involved citizens who are also well-informed about agriculture and their school subjects.   We were a little worried at first about the possibility of meeting with actual people about the club, because there is no office of the 4-h club in Northfield.  However, Deane let us know that one of her colleague's sons are in 4-h, so we could be assured that there are members in the area.  That was the final tipping point, and our group decided to focus upon 4-h!
